Gaia Sofia Tundo
Gaia Sofia Tundo is a movement artist originally from Lecce, Italy.
Her background reflects a rich and diverse training, spanning contemporary techniques, ballet, urban styles, somatic practices, contact improvisation, and choreological studies. In 2020, she moved to London to pursue a BA in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, graduating with First Class Honours. She later completed a Master's degree in Dance Performance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, where she deepened her interest in research-led practice and academic inquiry within dance. In 2023, Gaia joined VERVE, touring internationally works by (LA)HORDE, Joy Alpuerto Ritter, and Matteo Marfoglia, while further expanding her movement vocabulary through Gaga practice. During her time in the UK, she also performed Rosemary Butcher’s repertoire, contributed to the creation of new works by Jean Abreu and Takeshi Matsumoto, and collaborated with MuZo Dance Theatre Company and the interdisciplinary collective Dance.Film.Performance. Gaia has also developed significant teaching experience, working with dance schools and leading workshops aimed at sharing her knowledge with students of all ages and levels.
Chiara Duccini
Originally from Italy, Chiara grew up in a small village close to Florence.
Her background blends different techniques such as ballet, contemporary techniques, folk dance, contact improvisation, and somatic practices. Driven by a curiosity to push the boundaries of the known body, she explores its expressive range and untapped possibilities. In 2020, Chiara joined the BA course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree. She later expanded her artistic training with a Master’s Degree in Performance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, joining the internationally-touring resident company, VERVE. During her time with the company Chiara performed works by Matteo Marfoglia, Joy Alpuerto Ritter, and the acclaimed French collective (LA)HORDE. Now freelancing, Chiara continues to broaden her artistic horizons and will appear as a dancer and performer in Balkan Erotic Epic, an immersive show by renowned artist Marina Abramović. Throughout these years in England, Chiara collaborated with interdisciplinary collectives such as Dance.Film.Performance and MuZo Dance Theatre Company engaging in projects that explored the intersections of dance, digital media and performance art.
